Niña Flora

Concept Tequila Bottle Design

Niña Flora is a conceptual tequila brand that aims to celebrate the career and life of Martha Bernal. She was the first Latina American woman to successfully complete her PhD in clinical psychology.

Her work focused heavily on the psychology of ethnic minorities, specifically in children– thus, I decided to illustrate a young girl braiding her hair in reference to the cultural significance of hair in Latina culture. The blooming flowers above her head represent the girl’s experiences and emotions that occur within the mind.

Illustrated pattern was inspired by tiling patterns and floral designs popular within Latino culture.
